You have three basic layers of modeling: the linguistic, the behavioral and the cognitive. These three areas will also vary in weightage depending on the nature of the modeling project, and therefore it could take a few intensive days up to a few months determining the model. Bowling, for instance, is more behavioral, and the skill will take less than a week to model. Singing is more complex because it is a combination of all three. Management skill gets even more complex than singing. Rapid reading is more cognitive than behavioral. Public speaking has various areas: speaking is more linguistic and behavioral; speech preparation is more linguistic and cognitive. And, the way you model public speaking is going to be very different from modeling, say karate.

The details of the modeling process are in the actual certification training that I conduct. Program details will be made available in mid December.

Re: Personal Development: Why You Should Learn To Model Others

how to do the role modeling. If more companies realized the value of attitude on the "bottom line," they would be instituting personal development programs throughout the organization. I remember an experience 30 years ago in Korea. Not only were my shoes lined up but shined as well. There are the things that people remember, talk about to others and base future buying decisions on.

Here in the US, Neiman Marcus and Nordstroms come close in shoe service in particular and service overall. Why? They have the best trained employees. But, it also tells me that you might be seeking wealth for the wrong reasons. If you're using money for the benefit of others I think that's still fine. However, using this as a means to feel worthy or recognized is not really the best idea. I've never said that wealth wasn't good. I'm merely saying that balance is best. The problem is you won't know it until you get to the level of imbalance because balance presumes you know how to weigh. From your comment, I don't think you do. :) If your nephew is such a powerful influence in your life to make you feel bad, perhaps it's better to look at why your emotional state was negatively affected by a nephew. Imagine what it would be like when someone else even more important says the same thing to you. Buying a watch, a car, a new phone... these are awesome if you have the ability to manage and handle your finances and more importantly yourself. Wishing you had money and planning for it to happen are two different things altogether. Knowing WHY it's so important to you is another factor. You can go ahead and set your goals to earn more wealth. Under appropriate guidance and the right kind of skill, you will have more rather than complaining that you don't have it. However, you can go ahead and create wealth because of a negative or "away-from", and you'll feel empty and frustrated once you get there. Don't take my word for it - go do it, then once you've experienced it, you'll know what I'm talking about. Let your wealth grow from an inner strength. If you don't have any strengths, well it's about time for you to develop them.

Re: Ask Stuart

I subscribe to your 7 days personal development booster and get the following response:

Oops.. 404 Error

It seems the page you were trying to find on my site isn't around anymore (or at least around here).
Report it missing using my contact form and I'll see what I can do about it.

Re: Principles Of Personal Transformation: Balance

@Stuart, your writing is wonderful to read. Some time ago I was with my nephew while in Spore, he told me that a friend of his is having a watch sale and these are branded watches he is talking about. He then asked me if I may be interested to consider going there and maybe buying one at a special discount. Without thinking much and at the same time knowing that I dont have that type of money, I told him that I am not a watch collecter. Do you know what his answer to me was? Don't bluff, if you don't have money say so...how did I feel then? How I wish I had that kind of money. So, money does play a big role in one's life....if one really does not have it...too bad...look around, who gets the most attention, the one with wealth or the one with none? Who do one choose to be god father or godmother...some one with money or some one with none....now I realise why no one ever ask to be their God father, Ha, Ha! Best regards and may success with you. An issue that we have to resolve however, is where the introversion came from. Sometimes, through past experiences we develop beliefs that create this introversion, and many of such beliefs are deep rooted, and may require additional re-examination.
